Case studies
MILTON, OXFORDSHIRE - MAJOR PROJECT
Former private School where careful negotiations with the local community and the planning authority resulted in conversion to a citadine project of 22 one-bedroom cottages for letting.
(NB: Citadine - French word used for lettable accommodation being either serviced apartments or serviced units, similar to a hotel but without restaurant facilities. All units are self catering).
Further negotiations took place with Fire Officers to establish this rather unusual use but at the same time creating a profitable business for the owners of the former School.
CROWMARSH GIFFORD, OXFORDSHIRE – MAJOR PROJECT
Approximately four acres of land close to the river side with a miscellany of existing commercial uses. Stewart Lilly Associates conducted negotiations with the services of David Parker Architects resulting in a scheme of 42 units (10 affordable). Full detailed consent was granted where previously developer applications had been refused and dismissed at appeal. This matter required the highest degree of ‘hands on’ negotiations with all the parties involved. This included Councillors, Planning Officers and other specialist Agencies. Stewart Lilly Associates is jointly instructed with Messrs Hall Garlick Associates to market the site.
HEADINGTON, OXFORD
On this site was a former Care Home which was occupied by a Charity. Stewart Lilly Associates was instructed by the Charity and successfully achieved a planning permission for seven apartments. The original building was demolished and the site was sold to a Developer by Stewart Lilly Associates.
HEADINGTON, OXFORD - MAJOR PROJECT
Stewart Lilly Associates acted for the Developer in the identification and acquisition of this site. The scheme was for houses and apartments in a courtyard setting.
